Disenchanted 1One: Scars and Roses   Arissa knelt beneath the rain drenched birch trees, focusing intently. Her hand was shaking. It hurt like hell. Which was probably to be expected when you try to cut part of your arm off. She was nearly finished, and it was hard now to tell what was arm and what was just blood. That alone was probably not a good sign.   With a final sickening cut, it was over. The rose and thorn were lying together on a detached piece of skin on the forest floor. Haha. Take that, birthmark. Curse broken, and she didn’t even need to get a consult from a witch with matted, sticky gray hair.

VidelicetI was trudging across the beach in the rain when I heard her voice; light and sweet, almost lost in the background of the ocean surf. At first I ignored it, kept walking, head hung low. But it became impossible to ignore once she got closer, by this point I could also hear the patter of her shoes as she drew nearer. I stopped dead and turned slowly, she was only a short distance away now, and I could see her waving. I raised my hand slightly, gave it a quick flex and then dropped it. I kept my eyes on her as she ran up, only slightly out of breath.   
"Drew, I thought that was you!" she said, breathing rapidly.

Going Nowhere Fast

Shit! When was the last time I posted? Man, I've been lazy lately. What am I going to do about this? Anything? Probably not.

I feel semi guilty for the fact that I havent posted or read anything in ages. Only semi though. Whatever the writing muse was that I was running with a month ago, its gone. MIA. Decided to taunt me with good writing and then snatch it away. Life can be so cruel.

Oh well. I've had some weird dreams lately that might make good stories. We'll see. Long plane trip should make me write. Haha, maybe. And maybe I'll post and you (being me because no one reads this, but thats okay, talking to myself is one of my favorite things to do) will get to read it.
